I am a recent graduate of Hogwarts. My favorite subjects were Care of Magical Creatures, Transfiguration, and Herbology. I was a really bright student when at Hogwarts and I had many friends. I love writting anything I can and I was so excited when the news of my coming to be a columnist for the Daily Prophet.

Recent graduate of Hogwart's (House: Gryffindor), Michael Padfoot is currently at work with the Ministry in the Black Forest area of Germany studying and hunting vampires. His central interests are art, writing, muggles (being from such a family), crossbow design, and he is currently studying to become an animagus (Animal: Hawk).

His interest in the study of vampires began with an offhand remark by Madame Pomfrey after a particularly nasty Quidditch accident. Since there was quite a bit of blood loss, a charm had to be conducted to replace it quickly. However, the right charm had to be conducted for the right blood type. It turns out that the right one was the O negative charm (a blood type known to be resistant to vampires and historically that of vampire hunters.) After some conversation with the D.A.D.A. professor of the time, he began to focus on the dark arts and eventually earned a high enough score on his final exams to secure him a job at the ministry.

He appreciates the Daily Prophet giving him an opportunity to share his knowledge of defense against the dark arts, especially with the recent rise of the Death Eaters.

Hello everyone! My name is Shaelyn Potter and I am Harry's cousin. His dad was my mum's older brother. My parents were visiting Aunt Lily and Uncle James when Voldemort attacked. All four of them were killed. (Abby and Ally were visiting our Grandparents at the time and Harry and I were in the playpen.) I don't like taking credit for living. Harry held up a book to shield me and it didn't work. I was attacked too. I barely lived. I woke up at St. Mango's six days later, barely able to breathe. Bio: Yes, before you say anything, I AM Lord Volde-sorry, You-Know-Who's daughter! Harry Potter and his friends rescued me when my father had taken me prisoner because my powers rivalled his and I wanted to join Harry and co. in fighting against him. Now I co-lead the Voldemort Resistance Group (VRAG). I'm a Welsh (It's tacked on to the left of England, people!) witch and Animagus (panther) but have the power to change into any animal I want. Don't ask me how I do that, I don't know myself! I live in Diagon Alley, as I need to be close to a magical community in case Voldemort attacks again, and there isn't a large wizarding settlement in Wales. I love cats, and own a tabby called Apollo and a black shorthair called Artemis. I suspect they may be more than just cats as they tend to go missing together for a week every couple of months and also seem to manage to be able to open doors without appearing to and whilst making no noise. I'm also a recent graduate of Hogwarts (Gryffindor) and play Chaser for the Holyhead Harpies Quidditch team, with my best friends Splash Blithe and Ivee Shaw. I have known about magic for my whole life, unlike some of my Hogwarts friends, as my mum and dad are both magical.When I'm not at Hogwarts, I live at home in Yorkshire in a little bungalow built in about 1241. My only claim to fame is that my Grandad is a retired chaser for the Pride of Portree. And yes, I have met Kirley from The Weird Sisters, and yes, he is as abfab in real life! I carry the Quidditching gene, as I am on my home town league in the summer, and played on Hogwarts' team last year ( I broke my arm during a match against Ravenclaw when I tried the Sloth Grip Roll and fell off my broom). I'm currently saving up for a Firebolt, but somehow I don't think I'll make it. My mum is also a Q. fan, and deals with ticket sales for the matches and all that, while my dad stays at home with my baby sister. I have one other sister who graduated last year and is studying the history of famous wizards like Merlin and those ones from Macbeth (they were real!) at Bloodnoc's University in Wales. I have a pet rat, Dora, which I am currently trying to transfigure into a lemur. My favourite class is probably Potions, though I hate Snape. I'm also into Care of Magical Creatures, except when we have to look after disgusting things and anything that looks like an insect!

My team has already won 3 games out of 5 since my second year. Now, I'm studying for O.W.L.s and thinking about career in the Ministry.

Pierre Viridian was born in Lyons France in 1982. He went to Beauxbatons, graduated with 11 OWL's and 12 NEWT's. He enjoyed a brief teaching career at Durmstrang but quit because Igor Karkaroff was horrible to him because he was very anti-Voldemort. He then worked for the French Daily Prophet, Quotidien Le Prophète.

I am Sarah Weasley, a student at Hogwarts, with a love for writing. I applied as an editor for The Witch's Cackle as a first year, then applied for this job at the daily prophet. I excel in charms class, and love to play quidditch, though I am not on a team. I am an animagus (dove) and use that ability to help my sister (Ron Weasley's Mother) with all the mail she sends, and the lack of owls at her house.
